Email Service Providers Clean Email Supports
Clean Email supports Gmail, Google Workspace, Yahoo Mail, Outlook, Hotmail, Microsoft 365, AOL, iCloud Mail, Fastmail, and other email providers that allow standard IMAP/SMTP access and compatible authentication.
For Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Outlook, Microsoft 365, and AOL, you can connect your account through the provider's secure sign-in process without entering your password directly into Clean Email.
For iCloud Mail and Fastmail, you'll need to generate an app-specific password. Note that Fastmail Basic accounts cannot be connected to Clean Email because this plan does not support IMAP access.
Other IMAP-based accounts may require your email address, password, and IMAP server settings, which you can usually find in your provider's documentation.
Which email accounts are not supported?
Clean Email cannot connect to email services that don't provide standard IMAP access to external servers, such as Proton Mail and Tuta Mail. Proton Mail Bridge does not resolve this limitation because it runs locally on your computer and cannot be accessed by Clean Email's servers.
Shared mailboxes accessed only through delegated permissions are also unsupported because they don't have their own credentials for direct authentication.
If your email provider supports IMAP but you still cannot connect, check whether IMAP access is enabled and whether your provider or organization allows third-party connections.
