Definition
💡 Bulk deleting means to delete many emails at once. This involves selecting several or all messages, either manually or using a filter, and then deleting them all at one time.
This is a common action for performing a quick cleanup of your inbox or a folder to remove unwanted messages.
Examples for Gmail
For a complete removal of emails, you can easily delete all emails in Gmail on the website or using the mobile app by doing one of the following in your inbox:
- On the web, mark the Select box and click Delete in the top toolbar.
- In the mobile app, long-press any message, mark the Select box at the top, and tap Delete.
Note that you won’t be asked to confirm, but you will see a brief Undo option to immediately reverse the action.
