To clean your mailbox faster you can apply actions to multiple groups within a view at once. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to any Smart View.
  2. Choose to group by any parameter depending on what you are looking for.
  3. Check the "Select all" box at the top or Check the checkbox next to all groups you would like to apply action to.

When you select all groups even groups not currently visible will be selected. Your action will be applied to all groups matched by the view. When done selecting choose an action on the right. Your action will be started immediately. However, time for actions to be completed will vary. Please read this article to learn more about how emails are processed.

NOTE: Do not automate an action if you use the Select All button. This will cause other future similar emails to be processed if they will match your grouping criteria even if they did not exist when you created the rule.

For example, if you are into "emails from Dead-ends" (noReply) view and you decide that all of the currently existing emails should be trashed as they are not important. If you use the Select All button and later you receive an email from, say, noreply@yourbank.com with some notification you may be interested in, that will also be removed automatically because it is a noReply even though there was no email from that sender in your initial selection.
