Where is Manage Subscriptions on Gmail?
To view your subscriptions in Gmail on the web, open the left-hand menu and go to More → Manage subscriptions.
You’ll then see your active subscriptions with the sender’s name, email address, recent number of messages, and option to Unsubscribe.

The list is sorted by frequency which makes it easy to unsubscribe from those sending you the most emails. Note that you can’t currently change the sort order.
If you want to review the emails from a particular sender, select the subscription in the list. Or, you can simply unsubscribe from the emails in Gmail.
Manage Subscriptions in Gmail on iPhone and Android
To view your subscriptions in the Gmail mobile app on iPhone or Android:
- Open the menu using the hamburger icon on the top left.
- Choose Manage subscriptions in the All labels section below Trash.
- You’ll see the same details as on the web with the sender, address, recent emails, and unsubscribe option which appears as an envelope with a minus sign.
Can’t Find Manage Subscriptions in Gmail?
The Gmail subscription list feature began rolling out gradually in July 2025 worldwide on the web with Android and iPhone mobile app releases to select (unpublished) countries.
The tool is available for all Gmail users including personal accounts and Google Workspace customers; however, limitations can include accounts managed by a family, parent, or specific corporation.
If you believe you should see the feature and don’t, here are a few things to check:
- Make sure you have Smart Features enabled for your account. Go to Settings → See all settings → General and mark the checkbox for Smart Features.
- Confirm that your web browser is up to date. If necessary, you may need to clear your browser cache to ensure you see the latest version of Gmail.
- Check for updates to the Gmail mobile app via Google Play or the App Store.
- Be sure to sign into the Gmail account that has subscriptions.
If you still don’t see Gmail’s Manage Subscriptions feature after checking the above, we’ll explain how to manage email subscriptions using different methods.
How to Manage Gmail Subscriptions With Clean Email
A more comprehensive alternative for managing your Gmail subscriptions is with the Clean Email Unsubscriber feature. Using this option, you can quickly identify newsletters and promotional senders and take subscription management a bit further.
- View a full subscription list instantly.
- Manage inactive subscriptions on the Unsubscribed tab from which you can resubscribe.
- Unsubscribe in bulk or even from all subscriptions at once.

- Pause subscriptions temporarily.
- Use the Keep Newest feature to retain only the most recent subscription emails.

Note: When you select Unsubscribe, a removal request is submitted to the sender and future messages move to the Trash, in case the sender takes time to process the request or doesn’t act on it.
Sign up for Clean Email to check out the Unsubscriber tool and additional smart features for email and mailbox management on both desktop and mobile.
How to Check Gmail Subscriptions With Searches and Categories
Whether you can’t find the feature or believe it’s incomplete, you can use searches and categories to see subscriptions that might not appear on Gmail’s list.
Searching for unsubscribe is one method many users have been turning to recently. By entering this in the Search box, you’ll see all emails that have an “unsubscribe” option in the message body or footer (which is required per the CAN-SPAM Act).
- Be sure to carefully review the results using this method in case non-subscription emails appear.
Another option is to use the Promotions category in Gmail. This often works as a practical subscription list showing marketing and promotional emails that Gmail filters automatically.
- On the web, go to the Promotions tab and in the mobile app, pick Promotions in the menu.
If you’re using an Inbox Type that doesn’t display the categories in Gmail, you can also use a search operator to see Promotions.
- Enter category:promotions in the Search box to view and analyze your promotional messages.
